MEET THE ARTIST

Greetings & thanks for your interest! Just a little info about me so we can be a bit more acquainted :). I am a 25-year-old Liberian American Houston native with a deep love and devotion to nature, community, and self-realization. Many people ask where I sourced my artist alias; my late grandmother who my cousins & I so lovingly called Mawmaw is Pearly and embodied the very essence of a genuine pearl. My Godmother always referred to me as "Hannah my heart". It didn't take much putting the two together to create an alias so dear to me that encompasses the intention I set for this for the work I do.  

 

I have been tattooing for 3 years (not including my year as an apprentice). I currently work in a black owned studio with other amazing artists. My preferred styles of tattooing are fine line, abstract, botanical/ floral tattoos, however I am open to explore most of anything! I do create hand poked as well as machine tattoos. I accept custom tattoo requests, as well as offer flash tattoos that are repeated and shared with other wearers. I also offer 1 of 1 pieces that are unique to one wearer that I draw and make available. I love exploring themes of love, growth, African heritage, the natural world, and anything that expresses the dynamic experience of personhood within my tattoos. 

When I am not tattooing you can often find me immersed in nature, thrifting, reading, working on puzzles, at someone's happy hour, and anywhere the music is pumping!
